UBMP4 is our least expensive, most versatile, open hardware, and open source development board for learning or teaching microcontroller programming in C using almost any device – including Chromebooks!

Get started learning microcontroller programming quickly with this fully-assembled UBMP4 circuit. The on-board PIC16F1459 microcontroller is pre-loaded with the USB µC bootloader to enable it to appear as a USB drive on your computer. Simply connect UBMP4 to your computer using a USB 2.0 type-C cable, and drag and drop your compiled .hex code file onto its drive – no stand-alone PIC programmer is required!

Use the introductory lesson activities on the UBMP4 page to learn programming, interfacing, and debugging techniques, and access complete schematics, PCB files, and other resources.

We have a limited number of fully-assembled UBMP4.3 circuits that we are making available for less than the kits – get one before they’re gone!
