Beep, beep! Something new is rolling out…

BEAPER Nano Teacher Special

Are you a computer electronics or STEM teacher in Canada or the USA interested in microcontroller programming and robotics? We think BEAPER Nano could be the solution you’re looking for and have bundled together a limited number of fully-assembled BEAPER Nano pre-production prototype PCBs and all of the robot parts that you need to get started. Program the included Arduino Nano ESP32 using C/C++ or MicroPython, display graphics and text on the high-resolution LCD, control BEAPER using WiFi or Bluetooth, and build a robot with line, floor, and distance sensors. Conditions apply, limit of one BEAPER Nano teacher special per school. Please contact us if you have any questions.

New – BEAPER!

Meet BEAPER – actually, BEAPERs, since there are two of them! BEAPER (Beginner Electronics And Programming Educational Robot) follows in the footsteps (tire tracks?) of ARPS by bringing easy to use beginner educational and robotic circuits to both Arduino® Nano ESP32 and Raspberry Pi Pico.

BEAPER not only provides everything you need to start learning microcontroller programming using C or MicroPython, but we’ve also made it easier than ever to build a versatile robot using our BEAPER Bot design!

New – ARPS!

Meet ARPS, our new Arduino®-compatible Robot Project Shield designed to simplify learning or teaching microcontroller programming using Arduino UNO!

ARPS incorporates commonly used I/O devices to get beginners learning programming quickly, without having to build and debug circuits on breadboard first. Then, connect motors and a battery holder to create a variety of simple robots using either Arduino UNO R3 or R4. Find out more about ARPS and including links to circuits and lessons in Tinkercad.

New – UPS!

You should try this! It’s our new USB Power Stick, but we just call it UPS for short. UPS plugs into a breadboard and lets you power your prototype circuits using just a USB-C cable and a phone charger, a USB power brick, or even your laptop computer. No expensive lab power supplies or fiddly 9V batteries and regulators (as used in many classrooms and beginner tutorial circuits) required.

UPS also breaks out the D+ and D- data lines so you can power and communicate with your USB-enabled circuits. Order your UPS today.

Learning activities in Tinkercad

Tinkercad is an amazingly useful classroom tool and we have created and shared a variety of starter electronics activities, as well as both the ARPS Educational Starter circuit and the full ARPS circuit build, in the Tinkercad circuit simulator. Start learning electronics and circuit concepts, or start learning programming by working through our ARPS introductory learning activities – you can even get a start on simulating line following and Sumo robots with our program starters! Find all of the Tinkercad activity links on our new electronics page.

mirobo believes in education

A line-following CHRP4 robot built on the inexpensive simple robo platform.

Learn electronics, programming, and robotics with our simple, educational microcontroller circuits.

There’s no need for breadboarding or buying and connecting add-on modules – mirobo projects include everything you need to get started so you can start learning and applying new programming and interfacing concepts right away.

Build a pre-programmed circuit, or dive deeper with full hardware schematics and source code, including the code for special function libraries. Work through our learning resources and develop a better understanding of the interplay between software and hardware as you learn. Many of our projects are designed to do multiple functions, so you can expand their capabilities as you learn and master computer technology.

BEAPER Pico - coming soon!

BEAPER (Beginner Electronics And Programming Educational Robot) comes in two, very similar variants – one is BEAPER Nano, designed for the powerful new Arduino® Nano ESP32 microcontroller.

Build either BEAPER using a minimal number of parts to start learning programming fast. Easily add more parts as your skills increase. Their on-board circuitry makes it easy to built them into robots. BEAPER is our most versatile solution for learning or teaching beginner microcontroller programming and robotics, all in one circuit!

ARPS - New!

The second variant of BEAPER (Beginner Electronics And Programming Educational Robot) is BEAPER Pico! It’s designed to support the low-cost and incredibly popular Raspberry Pi Pico family.
