Arduino Nano ESP32 or Waveshare Nano ESP32. Each is designed to plug into BEAPER Nano, or be removed so it can be re-used in breadboards or other projects.

Beginner Activities

Are you new to Microcontroller programming? Our Beginner Activities are designed to form a complete entry-level curriculum, suitable for learning microcontroller programming on your own, or as lessons that are easy to integrate into beginner high school and college-level computer technology courses. (Teachers, please see our teacher’s guide for tips and ideas on how to integrate our products into your courses.)

Each activity contains example code, Guided Exploration activities and thinking questions to help solidify your understanding of important concepts, as well as Extension Activities to challenge learners to put their skills to use by tackling related, open-ended problems.

Choose your language

BEAPER Nano is unique because its Arduino Nano ESP32 microcontroller is designed to be programmed using either Arduino C/C++ code, or the MicroPython programming language.

If you’re new to programming, you’ll probably find the MicroPython syntax easier to learn and use since it’s a more modern language with extensive built-in capabilities. If you’ve had previous Arduino or C language programming experience, or you need to integrate BEAPER Nano with existing Arduino UNOs or curriculum, programming the Arduino Nano ESP32 in Arduino’s IDE will already be familiar.

Those are the only two options covered by our curriculum, but lots of other programming choices exist for Arduino Nano ESP32 when you’re ready to take your next steps.
